Nature Medicin International Graz Symposium on Lipid and Membrane Biology in March 2012 Lipotoxicity is referred to as the anomalous uptake, generation, and activity of lipid derivatives mediating adverse, "lipotoxic" effects including dysregulation of metabolic pathways, cell- and organelle dysfunction, and cell death. The meeting will address lipotoxicity as a pathological basis of prevalent human diseases, such as obesity, type 2 diabetes and atherosclerosis. Recent discoveries of molecular processes that can induce or prevent lipotoxicity and that are expected to contribute to the identification of valid targets for disease intervention will be discussed. Conference Dates Abstract deadline: January 20, 2012 Earyl registration: until January 31, 2012 For further information and registration please take a look at the homepage. The titles for talks will go online soon. International Graz Symposium on Lipid and Membrane Biology
